Pray to the empire
Workers be on time
Make believe there is no king
No royal family fulfilling
Baseless prophecies
Learn to sell your art
Your talent and your dream
You learn to swim in the blood money
The greatest predictor of election outcomes
Is who has the backing
Of course I mean funding
But oh you’re distracted with loan debt and Netflix
And it’s all so fucking boring
(Pray to the empire, workers be on time
safe from the decline, workers be on time)
Musically this is one of the best hard rock/ heavy metal albums you can get. The vocals gave me pause for a while, but they’re not bad. They just don’t quite fit. Nothing could keep me from these raging riffs though. Metallurgical Fire
Shout-out to Max Weber for putting together this kickass little compilation. If you’re looking to check out songs from some of the most recent Ripple Music releases, this is a great place to start. Every one of these songs is absolutely fantastic and serves as a great primer for anyone new to the label. Kirk Gauthier
ALL HOPE ABANDON, YE WHO ENTER HERE. Through me you go into a city of weeping; through me you go into eternal pain; through me you go amongst the lost people. Hope not ever to see Heaven. I have come to lead you to the other shore; into eternal darkness; into fire and into ice. Do not be afraid; our fate cannot be taken from us; it is a gift. - Inferno, Dante Alighieri.
